Toyota Launches Yaris AtIV HEV And GR Sport In Thailand, Take A Peek At The Specifications

JAKARTA - Toyota Motor Thailand Co., Ltd. officially launched Yaris AtIV HEV with a choice of the HEV Premium and HEV GR Sport models, making the best choice in the environmentally friendly car segment.

Thailand's Yamaha President and CEO Noriaki Yamashita said Thailand's automotive industry was still in a difficult situation. However, with Toyota's diverse product lineup, Toyota has maintained its top market share and is ranked first with the highest sales in the seven product segments.

Toyota Yaris ATIV has played an important role in the environmentally friendly segment market, with cumulative sales of more than 280,000 units since its first launch (cumulative sales data from August 2017 to July 2025).

In an exterior design, the car features a burlap of black chrome and metallic gray bottom grip, along with a new 16-inch alloy rim on the Premium HEV model. Inside, the car offers a variety of convenience functions, including a 10.1-inch touch screen that supports the wireless connectivity of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well as wireless chargers. Meanwhile, for the HEV GR Sport model, the appearance is sleek and sporty with a new front goal design with the GR logo and GR-S accessories set which includes front-skint bumpers, sideskirts, back-soft bumpers, and rear-shell spoilers, new 17-inch alloy rims, black roofs with black side mirrors, electrical setups with LED sein lights, and automatic multipliers. For the interior, this car is equipped with a black synthetic leather seat bearing the GR logo and adds to driving excitement with a custom-tuned EPS suspension and electric power steering.

This car comes with a hybrid engine of 2NR - VEX 1.5 liters, 4 cylinders, fresh, DOHC 16 valves, Dual VVT-i, combined with a permanent magnetic synchronous electric motor and lithium (Li-ion) ion battery for a maximum power of 111 hp with a maximum fuel consumption of 29.4 km/liter.

Product Development Project Manager for Yaris AtIV Kazuhiko Yoshioka, said the car offers a more enjoyable experience thanks to the HEV engine.

"You will have a more enjoyable experience with a hybrid engine (HEV) model, which is developed based on an internal combustion engine (ICE) model by improving driving performance through hybrid technology equipped with various features of modern comfort and safety," he said.

Regarding the price, the promo until the end of December is priced from 719,000-769,000 baths or around Rp359-384 million.
