JAKARTA One UI 7 launch, which includes Android 15, is running slowly. The operating system (OS) was released in the first week of December in beta, but only for the Samsung Galaxy S24 series.

The second Beta has been released with a number of upgrades, but this OS has yet to be extended to other devices. Reportedly, Samsung will not release the OS with the beta version into the Galaxy S23 series or older models.

This news emerged from a famous leak on platform X with the account name FamilyTaes. Quoting from Android Police, Samsung will release a maximum of two or three more beta versions for the development of One UI 7.

When compared to the launch schedule for the Galaxy S25 series, this news makes sense. Samsung's invitation to the Galaxy Unpacked event has been leaked and this flagship phone is believed to release on January 22 with the availability of devices in early February.

To pursue the launch of the Galaxy S25 series with the latest software, Samsung needs to shorten the duration of its OS testing. That way, the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S22, Galaxy S21, to series A series will not get a beta test version.

The launch strategy this time is indeed different from previous years. All Galaxy phones with longer series still get One UI 7, but live in a stable version.

The launch of this OS is also gradual and indirectly available after the Galaxy S25 series is released. Galaxy S24 users and older ones will need to wait a few weeks until One UI 7 is extended to all devices.
