SMI And IBM Indonesia Encourage Digital Transformation With Innovative Solutions

JAKARTA - On Tuesday, November 21, Synnex Metrodata Indonesia (SMI) was announced as a partner of IBM Indonesia in presenting the best solution to achieve digital transformation.

IBM and SMI realize that the market for information technology services (IT) is in demand in Indonesia. In fact, its growth is predicted to reach US$9 billion or around Rp139 trillion in 2028.

Seeing this high interest, IBM will introduce many software and hardware products and solutions to all business partners in Indonesia. SMI will also be involved in the provision of this product, but specifically in the provision of solutions.

" IBM solutions will be presented in a collaborative manner between IBM and SMI to provide several solutions for business and infrastructure needs to meet consumer needs or commercial markets in Indonesia," said IBM Indonesia President Director Roy Kosasih at the inauguration ceremony today.

Meanwhile, SMI Director Lie Heng said that this collaboration will maximize Indonesia Gold's potential in 2045, namely a period when Indonesia is filled with a productive generation and is believed to be a turning point for the economy in Indonesia.

Lie Heng said that they would present many of the best solutions for business people. This solution is also diverse, ranging from Artificial Intelligence (AI) to system security.

"There are so many solutions that are in line with missions from SMI as well that IBM has focus on solutions, especially in data areas or AI tips, cyber security, automation, and also sustainability because we want to provide continuous solutions," said Lie.

SMI will also focus on policy driven digital transformation, namely digital transformation which is driven by government policies. The hope is that the policies they are engaged in can keep people more secure, productive, and structured.

This year, IBM has launched an AI-based solution under the name Watsonx. This platform was also driven by SMI in achieving digital transformation. Currently, Watsonx has used a new foundation in the form of a generating AI and machine learning.

The next plan for IBM and SMI cooperation is the launch of thewatsonx governance on December 5. Hopefully, this platform can help many organizations implement AI according to established regulations.
