Meta Launches Special Holiday Bonuses For Selected Creators And Subscription Buttons In Feeds

JAKARTA - Instagram chief Adam Mosseri announced that Meta is now testing a new bonus feature on Instagram for selected creators in the United States (US), Japan, and South Korea.

Holiday bonuses will reward creators for sharing their creativity through reels and photos (both single-image or carousel posts). Selected creators will be invited to test this new bonus until the end of the year.

Furthermore, after one year of launch, Mosseri also said that Instagram's subscription feature (subscription) now has one million active subscriptions.

"Creators are paid on Instagram, sometimes from their fans directly, sometimes from brands, and sometimes from Instagram. Now on payments from fans, I like things like subscriptions because they are a very predictable source of income," Mosseri said in a reel video she posted on Instagram.

So, based on Meta blog posts, the company will start promoting this subscription feature on the Instagram feed, placing the big "Subscribe" button at the top of each post.

Creators will be able to offer free trials for 30 days, and Instagram is adding a tool that allows creators to mass ship DMs to new subscribers to chat with them, which can help keep fans going.

In addition, this subscription feature is also available on Facebook and will continue to expand its access to millions of other content creators over the next few months.

Finally, Meta also announced that it has expanded its Instagram Gift access to creators in Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Chile, Colombia, Croatia, Czech, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Netherlands, Peru, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Turkey.

To qualify for rewards, content creators must have a professional account, age over 18, fulfill partner monetization policies, and have at least 5,000 followers.
