JAKARTA - Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison announced its strategic partnership with Google in launching the first Rich Communication Services (RCS) Business Messaging service in Indonesia.

RCS is a messaging protocol with various functions outside of those offered by short message service (SMS), ranging from the ability to read receipts, document sharing, to high-resolution photos.

With this feature, Indosat's SMS Application-to-Person (A2P) service, which previously only allowed sending SMS short message services to customers, now includes branding and business verification, reply suggestions, and carousel messaging cards.

With RCS Business Messaging, consumers will have a safe, comfortable, and attractive experience in the business sector, especially MSMEs, to take advantage of this new channel.

"Through the RCS Business Message, which was first launched in Indonesia, MSME players can take advantage of this channel to boost their business reach and provide added value experiences," said Indosat Ooredoo President Director and CEO Hutchison,men's Sinha in an official broadcast quoted Friday, November 3.
