JAKARTA - YouTube has just announced that it is starting to launch a new feature that allows users to create special playlist art using a generative AI on YouTube Music.

Based on the announcement shared on its official blog, the new experimental feature was launched from Tuesday, October 24 for YouTube Music users in English in the United States.

However, the company plans to bring this feature to more areas and additional languages in the future, although there is no definite time yet.

"Starting today, we will start rolling out new experimental features for English US users on YouTube Music who create special playlist art using generative AI," said T. Jay Fowler, Director of Product Management, YouTube Music.

Fowler added that this AI-guided experience allows users to easily explore from various visual themes and options for creating unique art covers expressing the uniqueness of your personal playlist.

"Struggling to find the perfect artwork for your R&B 90 inspired morning playlist? Don't worry, we're looking at it. Stay here for expansion to regions and other languages globally," he added.

To get started, you have to click on the current default image from your playlist. From there, you can scroll through a number of themes, such as travel, nature, landscape, fantasy, animals, and humor.

Once you select a theme, you can scroll through a request option. For example, if you choose an animal theme, you can choose to take pictures of Himalayan cats in a Middle Ages painting style or in Pop Art style.

The English, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, and French versions are automatically generated by the AI. So there may still be inaccuracies in translating, please always see Indonesian as our main language. (system supported by DigitalSiber.id)
