JAKARTA - The Ministry of Communication and Information continues to collaborate to improve public digital literacy, including with the ranks of the Dharma Pertiwi Indonesian National Army (TNI).

According to Minister of Communication and Information Budi Arie Setiadi, collaboration in digital literacy activities is the key to optimizing the use of the internet positively, especially in digital economic activities and preventing negative content.

For this reason, Kominfo initiated the National Digital Literacy Movement (GNLD) which has been present since 2017 to strengthen basic digital skills and digital literacy of the community.

"Of the total 215.63 million internet users in Indonesia, the GNLD activities until October 16, 2023 have literacy for 23,752,721 participants," Budi said at the TNI's Large Family Digital Literacy Launching on Thursday, October 19.

For this reason, Budi said collaboration with various parties was very important in supporting national digital literacy efforts.

Minister Budi Arie stated that collaboration with the TNI not only increases the understanding of the TNI's extended family on digital issues, but also opens up opportunities for TNI families to become national digital literacy activists.

Even the Minister of Communication and Information hopes that more positive-charged content will contain elements of tolerance, nationalism, and education produced to realize an increasingly digital Indonesia.
