NASA Will Show Bennu's Asteroid Sample On October 11

JAKARTA - The United States (NASA) Aeronautics and Space Agency will show the Bennu sample, an asteroid cut that OSIRIS-REx brought some time ago to the public.

Through the official NASA account on X, previously Twitter, they will show Bennu in a live broadcast. This broadcast is planned to be held on Wednesday, October 11 at 11.00 ET or 22.00 WIB.

Bennu, he explained, is a small asteroid that crosses Earth once every six years. This carbon-rich asteroid is estimated to have a history of more than 4.5 billion years.

In fact, scientists suspect Bennu formed 10 million years after the solar system formed. Bennu was also estimated to be separated from its original asteroid about 700 to 2 billion years ago.

NASA is carrying out the original mission, Spectral Interpretation, Resource Identification, and Security Regolith Explorer (OSIRIS-REx) to find out about Bennu. They managed to go further since Bennu arrived on Earth on September 24.

So far, NASA has studied and examined Bennu in a well-maintained room. Once the ingredients that cover Bennu are broadcast to the public, these samples will be exhibited at several museums.

Reportedly, Bennu will be placed in the National Museum of Natural History in Washington, Houston Space Center in Texas, as well as the Arizona University's Permata and Mineral Museum of Norville's Economy inTENDING an undisclosed time.
