Space System Command Gives IDR 265 Billion To Xage Security To Protect Networks

JAKARTA - Cybersecurity firm Xage Security received USD 17 million or approximately IDR 265 billion to protect the Space System Command network, part of the United States Space Force (US).

With this money given, Xage Security needs to provide network protection for the next five years. This contract itself was only announced on September 27, reported by Spacenews.

Xage Security will use a software called zero trust to thwart various forms of information network breach at satellite earth stations, modems, and other Space Force assets.

Using zero trust, Xage Security CEO Geoffrey Mattson said that other individuals or devices cannot be trusted automatically when accessing the network. All access holders will also be verified every time they enter the network.

"You have to prove who you are to access the app," Mattson said.

He also claimed that the zero trust would not be accessible to cyber attackers because of the prevention method.

Zero trust itself will limit all applications that should not interact with other applications on the network.

These restrictions are considered capable of maintaining government-owned systems and commercial systems.
