JAKARTA - Binance, a crypto exchange, has reopened registration and access to its products and services for crypto users in Belgium. This comes three months after the exchange was ordered by Belgian financial authorities to stop crypto-related services.

"The new registration for Belgians is again welcome on our platform," Binance said in a post on September 25 on X (formerly Twitter). Binance said various products and services, they will be again accessible to Belgian users who have received the New Use Requirements.

On June 23, the Belgian Financial Services and Market Authority accused Binance of violating the Belgian Counter-Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing Act on suspicion of providing crypto-related services "from countries that are not members of the European Economic Zone."

They ordered Binance to stop all related services in Belgium "immediately" and required to contact all of its clients in Belgium and return all cryptocurrencies and private keys held by the exchange.

This incident led Binance to transfer its services to Belgians through Binance Poland sp. z o.o., a subsidiary of Polish-listed Binance, which was registered as a virtual asset service provider in January.

Binance's statement did not discuss what changes had been made so they could continue services for Belgian users.

Meanwhile, in other Europe, Binance has signaled plans to remove a list of stablecoins for the European market in June 2024 in an attempt to comply with European Union regulations, Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA), which will take effect in June 2024.

Meanwhile, in the United States, a massive exodus of Binance.US executives has raised speculation that the company is experiencing internal problems. However, the company's CEO, Changpeng "CZ" Zhao, has denied the rumors several times, Cointelegraph reported.
