JAKARTA - Developer Remedy Entertainment and publisher Epic Games have confirmed that the launch of their newest game, Alan Wake 2 will be 10 days behind schedule.

The game was originally scheduled for release on October 17. Due to a 10-day resignation from the initial release date, Alan wake 2 will now be released on October 27.

"The update from Alan Wake 2 team we moved the launch of Alan Wake 2 from October 17 to October 27," the developer wrote in a post on X on Thursday, August 17.

"October is an incredible month to launch the game and we hope this shift in date provides more space for everyone to enjoy their favorite game," the studio added in the same post.

Not only that, but the developer has also made Alan Wake 2 another big new game released around October, and brought the title horror survival a little closer to Halloween.

Meanwhile, you don't have to wait any longer to find out more about this game, because Alan Wake 2 will be shown live at next Tuesday's Gamescom Opening Night Live.

"We can't wait to show what all our favorite novelists are coming to Dark Place next week," the tweet said. "Thank you for your patience!" close the developer.

The other big titles scheduled to land in October are Detective Pikachu Returns, Forza Motorsport, Lords of the Fallen and also Cities Skylines II.
