JAKARTA - After conducting alpha testing in June last year, Google has now announced the open beta launch of the eSignature feature for Google Docs and Google Drive.
"eSignature is now available as an open beta to Google Workspace Individual customers, no additional items are required to use this feature," Google wrote in its announcement Wednesday, August 9 on the Workspace blog.
Based on what was shared, Google says that this eSignature feature will allow you to request and add a signature to a formal contract, directly in Google Docs.
"For solopreneurs and small businesses, keeping track of contracts, customer agreements, and other binding documents can be challenging," said the search giant.
In addition, Google expects to add additional capabilities later this year, including:
VOIR éGALEMENT:
- Audit trail: all completed contracts will automatically contain an audit trail report
- Multi-signer: the ability to request signatures from more than one user
- Non-Gmail users: ability to request eSignature from non-Gmail users
- Starting eSignature on PDF: ability to start eSignature on PDF files stored in Drive.
Remember, Google will be rolling out this new feature at no cost to individual workspace users over the next 15 days, starting August 8.
If you're a group user, you can view and use this eSignature feature if your Workspace admin signs up for the Beta version. For registration, you can directly visit the Google workspace website.
