Microsoft Leaks Tool For Internal Windows 11 Feature Testing

JAKARTA - Microsoft accidentally leaked a tool to access the hidden Windows 11 feature in the same way that company researchers tested unreleased software.

Named StakingTool, this tool can be used by Microsoft technicians and testers to try out the features that are still being created, and rule out A/B testing to gain access to the feature regardless of getting it officially or not in Windows 11 Insider Preview software.

StakingTools are found in a search for bug batches at Feedback Hubs, where links to the tool are included but are only intended for internal testers.

While there is a third-party version of the tool, which can find and enable hidden features in development software, including ViveTool and Mach2, StaggingTool is basically Microsoft's official version.

However, this tool is not intended for public use. Since the tool was seen by the public, Microsoft immediately closed the search for a bug batch, but StakingTool has been widely shared on the Internet.

Those who have accessed StakingToo describe it as the command line interface. This tool requires feature IDs, many of which can be found on GitHub.

The feature ID functions to enable or disable the feature, depending on the Windows 11 Insider Preview build released.
