JAKARTA - Google is rolling out an update for the work location feature on Google Calendar, where users can now set your work location to show where you work at different hours in one day.

In fact, this feature has been around since 2021, at that time Google allowed users to set their work location for certain days, but now users have the option to determine where they work at certain hours, to be more accurate.

For example, you make a calendar note that you are working from home in the morning, and then you will be in the office in the afternoon. This feature will make it easier for co-workers to know where you are at any given time if they need to contact you or arrange a meeting.

"To further refine it, we are introducing the option to set a work location in the Calendar that shows where you work for a specific part of the day," Google wrote in an announcement on its official website, which was discovered by TechCrunch, quoted Sunday 9 July.

"This will help you reflect your availability more accurately based on the physical location you set, which can change throughout the day," he added.

This feature has been launched now, and users can set their work location by selecting the "Working Location" option as a type of event on their calendar, then selecting location. From there, you can change the date, time, or repetition by clicking on the timing element.

This capability is available to users of Workspace Business Standard, Business Plus, Enterprise Standard, Enterprise Plus, Education Fundamentals, Education Standard, Education Plus, Teaching and Learning Upgrade, and Nonprofit.
