Ahead Of The 2024 General Election, Kominfo Invites Media Workers To Create A Quality Ecosystem

JAKARTA - Seven months before the implementation of the 2024 Simultaneous General Election (Pemilu), Acting Officer or Acting Minister of Communication and Information Mahfud MD invites all parties to participate in maintaining a democratic system with integrity, quality and dignity.

Not to forget, Mahfud MD also emphasized that the media has a very important role in realizing a quality election ecosystem.

"The role and the media are important to campaign for elections to be healthy, with integrity and quality. (This) was built together for the 2024 General Election. (To) choose leaders and representatives, on the journey of the Indonesian nation towards the future," he said, citing the official Kominfo website.

In addition, Plt. The Minister of Communication and Information also invited government agencies, election organizers, law enforcers, and media workers to create an ecosystem that allows people to choose the right leader.

"Don't let there be intervention between the organizers and overlap. Let's strengthen our love for this nation to be better in organizing democracy and dignified elections. This is very important to be voiced by the mass media," he further said.

To create a safe, honest, fair, and transparent election, the Ministry of Communication and Informatics cooperates with the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to disseminate and disseminate information to the public.

"Kominfo has the task of disseminating information to the public, discreminating information to participate in the 2024 General Election. On the other hand, the KPK also has an interest in how the election takes place honestly, fairly, and without money politics.
