JAKARTA - DeLorean, a well-known car manufacturer, has just created history by launching the world's first NFT-based car ordering feature. With a unique NFT reservation system, they offer potential buyers of their Alpha5 electric vehicle the opportunity to score NFTs from a special market.

In partnership with Web3 technology solutions company, NFT IQ, DeLorean created the world's first "EV Digital Twin," which connects every DeLorean Alpha5 NFT vehicle to a physical production car slot. In this case, each NFT holder can customize their vehicle six months before the original build. Additionally, the "ER Digital Twin" can also serve as an in-game avatar and offer access to exclusive DeLorean events.

To order an Alpha5 vehicle, a potential buyer must first become a lifetime member of the Alpha Club and purchase an EV Digital Twin NFT through the DeLorean exchange platform, as NFT Evening reported.

Not only that, they can also trade, store or sell their NFTs in a dedicated market. At this time, DeLorean has not announced a price or production location for the Alpha5.
