Just Two Years Release, Knockout City Will Close Server Three Months More

JAKARTA - Developer and publisher Velan Studios has announced on Twitter that the 9th Season of Knockout City will be the final season of the game.

Then, in the morning on June 6, 2023, after more than two years of initial launches, all Knockout City servers around the world will be closed and the games will no longer be playing.

"This is a very difficult decision for us, but a necessary and important decision for our studio," said Jeremy Russo, Game Director of Knockout City in his announcement.

But, before the server close occurred, the developer provided many new updates into the game. This 9th season, the studio released a lot of amazing new content that you expect.

According to the studio, developing and running direct services for the first time in the game Knockout City is very challenging. However, there are some aspects of the game that experience major disruptions.

"Because we are a small indie studio, it is impossible for us to make such systemic changes in straight games while continuing to support them. So it is clear to us that we need to take steps back and pave the way for Velan to do our best by innovating," he further said.

The studio is currently in the process of conducting comprehensive retrospection on every aspect of the game, all community feedback and analytic data, and even development processes.

"We hope that one day in the not too distant future, all this information can be used to begin working on what will happen next in the Knockout City universe," he concluded.

The 9 Knockout City season will start on February 28, 2023, with the release of a planned version 9.0 update. There will be a new map to accompany the storylines of the Brawl Pass and Deep Space Dispatch.

While there has been no more detailed announcement of this ninth season, the studio promised to announce in full for Season 9 in the coming weeks.

Not to forget also starting February 28, all real money transactions will be removed from the game. You can no longer buy Holobux, Bundel Deluxe, or any of the Bundel Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles on any platform. Instead, you will be able to see that at every event in Season 9 as a reward.
