RRQ Hoshi Falls from ECHO, Must Be Satisfied with One Point in the M4 World Championship

JAKARTA - The second day of the M4 World Championship group stage which lasted almost eight hours was held on Monday, 2 January.

In the standings for the second day, ECHO Esports from the Philippines managed to occupy first place for Group C. Meanwhile, Group D was occupied by RRQ Akira from Brazil.

The Indonesian team, RRQ Hoshi managed to get a win in the first match against Occupy Thrones from Mena with an elimination score of 22-19.

However, in the second match RRQ Hoshi had to submit to ECHO Esports, and caused the team to be satisfied with just one point in the group stage this time.

Following are the match results of day two for the M4 World Championship:

• RSG SG (Singapore) vs. Occupy Thrones (Mena) | 1-0
• The Valley (North America) vs. S11 Gaming (Argentina) | 1-0
• RRQ Hoshi (Indonesia) vs. Occupy Thrones (Mena) | 1-0
• RRQ Akira (Brazil) vs. The Valley (North America) | 1-0
• Echo (Philippines) vs. RRQ Hoshi (Indonesia) | 1-0
• Team HAQ (Malaysia) vs. RRQ Akira (Brazil) | 0-1

Meanwhile, the third day of the Group Stage will be held today, Tuesday 3 January 2023, where the teams in Group A and Group B will prepare to fight for the top of the standings.

No one will be eliminated in this round, but the top two teams from each group will occupy the upper bracket, while the bottom two will occupy the lower bracket in the Knockout phase.
