JAKARTA Chainlink (LINK) currently ranks 24th as one of the top 50 cryptocurrencies by market cap. The largest crypto holders to influence the market or commonly called whales have reportedly added to their LINK coffers in recent months.

Santiment's analytic data reveals that LINK is one of the most purchased cryptocurrencies by large investors both from the level of the shark and whale. They have actively increased their investment during the decline in crypto markets in recent months.

Based on the analytic platform, this group of investors has collectively added 47.31 million LINK tokens to their digital wallet since March 3. This means that US$312.7 million (equivalent to Rp4.9 trillion) funds have been invested in the original token of the blockchain oracle network.

Currently, the whales and shark have a LINK of 17.61 percent of the total LINK supply currently circulating. This data shows an increase in their ownership by 4.73 percent in that period. Santiment stated that the big investors were busy adding ownership of their LINK tokens during the bearish market in 2022.

Crypto LINK has yet to show price movements related to the whale activity. However, the entry of these whales also shows the strong confidence of large investors in Chainlink. However, tokens have made some impressive price rallies during the period during which whales have accumulated.

Last month, LINK prices separated themselves from other crypto markets. Tokens jumped about 20 percent even though the market was in shock. At the time of writing, LINK was trading at Rp103,185 per coin. Coinecko data reveals LINK price performance has decreased 3.0 percent in the last 24 hours. LINK had broken its all-time high at the level of IDR 752,768 per coin, on May 10, 2021.
