JAKARTA – The Chinese technology giant, Huawei, has recently begun to be investigated by the authorities in the United States. Whereas in 2019, when Donald Trump was still president of the US, Huawei was blocked by the Trump administration.

During the Joe Biden administration, the authorities began to investigate the tech giant Huawei. The reason is, the US government is worried that Huawei is being used to send classified information to the Chinese government.

However, Huawei, which has formed its ecosystem, has finally designed its own operating system, HarmonyOS, and is working with non-American technology companies to replace a number of important features in its devices, such as Google Maps being replaced with Petal Search.

According to Sputnik News, Huawei fell victim to President Donald Trump's trade and technology war with Beijing in 2019 amid unsubstantiated claims that the People's Republic of China used private companies to spy on Americans. President Joe Biden tightened restrictions in late 2021 to ensure that Huawei products could not be used on US telecommunications networks.

To that end, the Biden administration is conducting an investigation to determine whether Huawei products have the ability to capture sensitive data from US military installations or not.

In response to the report, Huawei denied its products had this capability. The Chinese company stated that it only "provides cloud platform services that comply with general industry standards."
