JAKARTA - Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal finally gave a response regarding what happened over the last few weeks related to Twitter.
For example, after Elon Musk decided to temporarily suspend his $44 billion purchase of Twitter due to concerns about spam and fake accounts.
"A lot has happened over the last few weeks. I've focused on the company and haven't said much to the public so far, but I will now," Agrawal said in a tweet on Sunday, May 15.
Agrawal said he is still responsible for leading and operating Twitter for now, and the recent changes, meant to build a stronger Twitter.
While I expect the deal to close, we need to be prepared for all scenarios and always do what's right for Twitter. I'm accountable for leading and operating Twitter, and our job is to build a stronger Twitter every day.

He also said that the deal with Elon Musk is expected to close. However, the deal is not an excuse to avoid making decisions important to the health of the company.
"I would not use the deal as an excuse to avoid making important decisions for the health of the company, nor would any leader on Twitter," Agrawal wrote today.
Agrawal insists that he is still focused on doing the job, and that includes making tough decisions as needed.
"Ku will continue to embrace the complexity of our services and our business. And you can expect more changes for the better," he said.
