Kaleidoscope 2024: The Five Latest Gasoline Sedans Launching In The Indonesian Market

JAKARTA The Indonesian automotive industry in 2024 continues to be enlivened by the launch of the latest various vehicles to meet the mobility needs of the community. Although the SUV trend is increasingly dominating, the sedan still has its own charm among Indonesian consumers.

As one segment that is timeless, the sedan is still in demand thanks to its comfortable comfort, elegant design, and qualified performance. So, what sedans are released in Indonesia throughout 2024? The following is a summary of the VOI version.

BMW 520i M Sport

BMW Group Indonesia has increased its sedan choice in the country by launching 520i M Sport at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) last July 24. Its presence follows the successful launch of the electricity version, i5 a few months earlier.

Different from other variants, BMW 520i M Sport does have a more sporting look with a number of packages such as M Sport Package, M Rear Spoiler, Melek M Aerodynamic 19-inch 936 M Bicolour Black Gray, Dark Blue Metallic M Sport braking, and Iconic Glow kidney grip.

Speaking of performance, this car is powered by a TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder engine with a mid-hybrid, pushing a maximum power of 190 dk and a torque of 310 Nm.

This premium sedan is one of the BMW cars that is assembled locally (CKD), precisely in Jakarta, which belongs to the Motorcycle Style facility. The car is set at a price of IDR 1.457 billion On The Road DKI Jakarta.

Mercedes-Benz E-Class

The Indonesian Indomobil Distribution Inchscope has officially launched the latest generation of E-Classes with a number of significant changes.

Launched in GIIAS 2024, the German manufacturer carried two variants, namely E 200 Exclusive Line and E 300 AMG Line. Both come with several advantages and look of their own luxury.

For the E200 Exclusive Line, this car is equipped with a 2.0 liter 4-cylinder straight engine that combines a mid-hybrid system that can spur 204 dk of power. Meanwhile, type E 300 AMG Line has the same engine with a larger power of up to 258 dk.

The single agent holding the Mercedes-Benz brand (ATPM) in Indonesia has set prices starting from IDR 1.385 billion for E 200 Exclusive Line and IDR 1.585 billion E 300 AMG Line.

Porsche Panamera

Porsche Indonesia officially brought the latest generation of the Panamera sedan to the Indonesian market through GIIAS 2024 last July. This car comes not only to reflect the element of luxury, but is also redesigned with a distinctive sporty element of the manufacturer.

Focusing on the comfort side, the exterior is decorated with LED Matrix headlights as a standard feature. The redesigned windows on the side display further strengthens the sedan character on the four-door sports car.

Another interesting thing about this car is the presence of an air suspension from the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) as a standard equipment. Two-valve technology separates the rebound stage and compression from the damping control and therefore offers a wider range between comfort and the impression of sporty.

The third generation of Panamera marketed in Indonesia has a 2.9 liter twin-turbo V6 engine combined with the transmission of eight PDK accelerations, resulting in 353 ps of power and a peak torque of 500 Nm.

Speaking of price, this long-dimensional car is pegged at prices ranging from IDR 4.010 billion and does not include other optional additions offered by Porsche.

Mercedes-Benz S-Class President Edition

Last November, Mercedes-Benz launched a limited S 450 President Edition of only 60 units in Indonesia. Previously, this unit participated in the 2024 Presidential Inauguration ceremony some time ago.

Unlike the standard variant, this special edition luxury sedan is given an exclusive touch in several parts, including the back pinned the 'President' emblem on the top right of the light.

In addition, the inside is equipped with pillows on each front and back seat with the words 'President Edition' which adds a classy and exclusive touch to the sedan.

Speaking of performance, the S450 President Edition maintains the 3.0 liter 6-cylinder engine as fresh as its standard with power reaching 367 dk and 500 Nm torque supported by automatic 9G-Tronic transmission.

Indonesia's Indomobil Distribution Inchscope did not officially disclose the price. But as an illustration, the standard S-Class is worth IDR 2.9 billion.

BMW M4 CS

At the end of last October, BMW Group Indonesia launched M4 CS as its commitment to introduce high-performance cars in the country.

One of the highest variants in the M4 family carries a customized chassis technology so that the engine performance can blend with its dynamic characteristics.

The car is powered by a number of personalized tunings and regulation of the wheelcamber, spring damping, and anti-roll rods specially made to optimize precision driving styles.

The car is equipped with a fresh 6-cylinder engine that produces up to 550 dk of power, an increase of 20 dk compared to the M4 Competition Coupe M xDrive with a peak torque of 650 Nm.

For the Indonesian market, the BMW M4 CS is priced at IDR 3.3 billion On The Road DKI Jakarta.
