JAKARTA - Porsche Motorsport and Superstar Motorsport collaborate to hold the Porsche Sprint Challenge Indonesia racing event, which will be held at the Mandalika Circuit in early December 2023.

The best professional and amateur racers will take part in this event, using the latest Porsche 911 GT3 Cup equipped with a 4,000 cc engine. The entire series will be held at the same circuit.

"We are very enthusiastic to start the inaugural season of the Porsche Sprint Challenge Indonesia. With a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup and a talented racer, we are sure that we will present the most interesting one-make series in Indonesia," said Superstars Motorsport CEO Bagoes Hermanto, in an official statement received by VOI, Thursday, November 9.

Alexandre Gibot, Managing Director of Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific Limited, expressed his pride and enthusiasm in organizing this event. He also sees Indonesia as a enthusiastic market, and welcomes this event.

"Indonesia is a very passionate market for the Porsche brand and we believe that this is the right time to equip our regional platform with a new race series," said Gibot.

The first season of the Porsche Sprint Challenge Indonesia will consist of six series. Every weekend will present three races, including the Sprint session for 25 minutes and the Endurance race which lasts for 45 minutes.

This car racing event will begin with the Official Test Days session on December 6-7, 2023, while the actual race will only start on December 8-10, 2023, where the riders will compete in two rounds of racing.
