Modellista Will Bring Tuning Model To US Market At The End Of October

JAKARTA - Modellista, a special tuning company for Toyota and Lexus cars, will spread its wings to the US market by offering several models to be featured in the 2023 SEMA Show in Las Vegas at the end of October.

The company's decision to expand the US market is not without reason. Currently, they have succeeded in becoming one of the best tuning companies in the Asian region.

This also marks their debut in introducing their products in the Asian market. In the event, they will present three models, namely Toyota Crown, Lexus RX, and Lexus LX.

"To launch the Modellista in the US, we will raise awareness to visitors and the media by showing off historical panels for the company's 25th anniversary and distributing brand books and more," the company wrote in an official statement, Tuesday, October 3.

The Toyota car tuner specialist will present products that are tailored to regulations in the US, so companies don't need to import them from Japan. The Toyota model is currently considering possible models that will be present for the North American market, including four Lexus models: IS, NX, RX, and LX, as well as from Toyota: Prius, Crown Crossover, Venza, and RAV4.

In Japan, the Modellista typically provides two different body kit variations for each model, featuring components such as widening the bumper, side skirt, spoiler, muffler, wheel, and other exterior trim cuts. However, it remains uncertain whether they will implement a similar strategy in the US.

The company under the auspices of the Toyota Racing Development (TRD) is known for its luxurious and elegant body kit design as well as beautified vehicle design. Also known as Toyota Modellista International, the company has been established since 1997.

Unlike Gazoo Racing (GR) which tends to display a sporty impression that describes the brand's characteristics as a racing division.

The tuner specialist also presented vehicles in Indonesia through Kijang Innova Zenix which was launched in 2022, which comes with two variants: V Hybrid Modellista Type and Q Hybird Modellista Type.

For type V Hybrid Modellista, it starts to be priced at IDR 545.6 million. Meanwhile, the Hybrid Modellista Q is worth IDR 624.6 million.
