JAKARTA - Positive trends continue to accompany Lamborghini in the first half of this year. This super luxury car manufacturer managed to record the highest sales far above last year's achievements.
During the January-June 2023 period, Lamborghini managed to deliver a total of 5,341 cars, an increase of 4.9 percent compared to the same period the previous year. The increase in sales was fully contributed by increased demand for the naturally aspirated V10 engine-based Huracan and the high-performance SUV, Urus.
The EMEA (Europe, the Middle East, and Africa) region is the largest market for Lamborghini in the first half of 2023 with a total of 2,285 cars delivered. Meanwhile, America is in second place with 1,857 units, and Asia Pacific is in third place with 1,199 cars.
“We are proud to once again confirm Lamborghini's growth path. The positive trend reinforces our expectation that we will close the year with further record results across all key financial metrics, with profitability confirming Lamborghini's position among the leading brands in the luxury segment," said Paolo Poma, Managing Director and CFO of Automobili Lamborghini, in the corporate media room, July 31.
Of all markets, the United States is the largest single market for this brand with 1,625 units sold, followed by the United Kingdom (514 units), Germany (511 units), mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau (450 units), Japan (280 units), and Italy (270 units).
During the first six months of this year, Lamborghini's revenue increased by 6.7 percent to 1.42 billion euros, while operating income increased by 7.2 percent to 456 million euros, resulting in an increased return on sales of up to 32.1 percent.
The two models, the Urus and Huracan, are now no longer available for ordering as they have sold out. Both models will be discontinued in the second half of 2024, but the Urus will return with a plug-in hybrid model, while a replacement for the Huracan has already been tested, likely using a turbocharged V8 engine.

In fact, quoted from the company's media space, demand for the latest model, Revuelto, is also very high, making Lamborghini have to work hard for more than two years to fulfill orders. In other words, new orders can only be filled towards the end of 2025.
