Hino Simplifies Names To Strengthen Brand Identity

JAKARTA - PT Hino Motors Manufacturing Indonesia (HMI), PT Hino Motors Sales Indonesia (HMSI), and PT Hino Finance Indonesia (HFI) officially changed the names of several of their products. This decision is based on the global standardization implemented by Hino Motors Limited (HML) in Japan.

HMSI President Director, Takashi Muto, revealed that this name change aims to strengthen the identity of Hino brands and make their products more easily recognized by consumers. Simplification in product naming is expected to make it easier for consumers to identify Hino products.

"We are pleased to introduce our new product naming strategy, by combining the well-known HINO name into our product lineup, to strengthen our brand identity and maximize market potential," Muto said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, July 10.

Despite changing names, Hino guarantees that the performance and excellence offered by their trucks will remain the same. Hino products will continue to present the latest sophistication, strength, and features, and are supported by a network of full-sale services and spare parts spread throughout Indonesia.

"With a new name, we are further strengthening the identity of Hino's product presence globally," added Muto.

Some of Hino's product model lines that have changed names include Hino300 Dutro which turned into Hino 300. This vehicle is a light truck used to transport cargo such as household furniture.

In addition, there is also the Hino500 Ranger which is now known as the Hino 500. This model is a medium truck capable of transporting goods with light to moderate weight, such as building materials and motorcycles.

Finally, Hino700 Profia which is Hino 700. This vehicle is a heavy truck available in Indonesia, can carry heavy loads, and has up to 22 wheels with low maneuverability.
