PT Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (TMMIN) has changed the composition of the board of directors regarding the end of Warih Andang Tjahjono's tenure as President Director which was completed at the end of last June.

Warih Andang Tjahjono is the first President Director of Toyota manufacturing affiliates in Asia Pacific. He has served as President Director since April 1, 2017 by making extraordinary achievements, one of which is the success of exporting 2 million Toyota-branded cars.

Under its leadership, PT TMMIN managed to conduct its first export to Australia and the delivery of a Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) electrification vehicle model, such as the Kijang Innova Zenix Hybrid and the Yaris Cross Hybrid whose batteries are local assembly at the TMMIN factory.

In his leadership era, he also shifted the automotive industry to electrification. Of course, this does not change Toyota Indonesia's target as a global production and export base for electrification vehicles, including battery components.

"The achievement of TMMIN in the past 6 years is thanks to the full cooperation and support of the Indonesian government for the automotive industry, as well as all of our customers, PT Toyota-Astra Motor, local suppliers and the distribution network of Toyota Indonesia and all TMMIN employees," said Warih in his official statement, Friday, July 7th.

The position of President Director is now held by Nandi Julyanto, who previously served as Vice President Director. Meanwhile, Bob Azam will fill the position as Vice President Director, where previously he served as Director of Administration, Corporate, & External Affairs, Technical Government Affairs.

"In the future, TMMIN is determined to continue to contribute in the national automotive industry by developing more local production of more diverse electrified vehicles and their components, including batteries that answer the needs of Indonesian families to diverse foreign consumers," said Nandi.

Nandi added, in the future the era of electrification of the national automotive industry will be more competitive and massive. Nandi also assessed that production facilities from TMMIN could increase the electrification vehicle line in order to contribute to the achievement of the Indonesian Government's Decarbonization target and reach more consumers. And the electrification-based Toyota vehicle model includes HEV, PHEV, BEV, and FCEV, will help achieve this target.
