The Ford BlueCruise was introduced by Ford in April 2021 when it was installed on the Ford Mustang Mach-E. The technology system is designed to help drivers drive their cars more easily and safely.

BlueCruise allows hands-free driving on eligible sections of highways called “Hands-Free Blue Zones” covering more than 130,000 miles (209,215 km) of roads in North America.

Now, a level version of this automatic or self-driving technology system is available, Ford BlueCruise Version 1.2 which is installed on the Ford Mustang Mach-Es 2023 and follows all types of Ford vehicles equipped with BlueCruise.

In a review of the Ford BlueCruise Version 1.2 conducted by MotorTrend, on March 16, it was explained that this system can help drivers perform tasks such as driving on the highway, changing lanes, and driving in congested areas.

Also mentioned, the latest version has better features in ensuring the safety of drivers and passengers. For example, the BlueCruise system will alert drivers if they need to take control of the vehicle in an unexpected situation. This system is also equipped with cameras and sensors that can help identify objects around the vehicle.

Overall, after the trials, they conducted this system is seen as a step forward in autonomous car technology and will be very useful for drivers who frequently travel long distances. However, there is still room for improvement for BlueCruise to get even better.

With the BlueCruise, Ford joins other car companies such as Tesla and GM who have already launched similar systems. However, Ford claims that the BlueCruise is cheaper and more accessible to consumers than other systems.
