Nicko McBrain, Iron Maiden Drummer Decides To Retire From The Tour Stage

JAKARTA - After more than four decades of being the tempo guard for Iron Maiden, Nicko McBrain made an important announcement. He declared himself retired from the music tour stage.

The decision was announced by Nicko himself, who was also uploaded via Iron Maiden's official website on December 7. He revealed the reasons behind the big decision.

"After careful consideration, sadly and happily, I announce my decision to step down for a moment from a tiring tour routine. Today, Saturday, December 7, Sao Paulo will be my last concert with Iron Maiden. I wish this band success," said Nicko in his statement, Saturday, December 7.

Nicko emphasized his status as a member of the group. He will undergo various Iron Maiden projects in the future, except for traveling around various countries.

"However, I will remain part of the Iron Maiden family by working on various projects, which have been planned by my old managers, Rod Smallwood and Andy Taylor. I will also work on various personal projects and focus on existing business and business, including The British Drum Company, Nicko McBrain's Drum One, Titanium Tart, and of course, Rock-N-Roll Ribs!," he added.

Nicko and Iron Maiden's journey has lasted for 42 years. Many memories and unforgettable things have become a big part of his life as a musician.
