David Draiman Condemns Hamas: Why Do Many Take Care Of This Maniak?

JAKARTA - Disturbed vocalist David Draiman again criticized the Hamas attack on Israel, which killed more than 1,400 Zionist nationals.

In response to Palestinian militants in Gaza who fired a series of deadly rockets and sent gunmen to Israeli territory, the Jewish nation launched attacks on what they called Hamas targets in Gaza.

Israel, since then, has ordered a total siege of the Gaza Strip, cutting off the supply of water, food and electricity for a population of 2 million people. The Israeli military, at least 199, held hostage, was brought back from Gaza.

Draiman, 50, who is of Jewish descent, via his Instagram on Sunday, October 15 shared a video message.

"It's been about a week since Hamas terrorists killed 1.400 Israeli Jews with cold blood - civilians. They deliberately chose civilians. They targeted schools, they targeted children, they targeted women, they targeted their parents," Draiman opened.

"And I've spent the past week trying to accept what I know is going to be the next step after this, the response, the world's response to the response, which was the only most frequently given response. And trying to stay in touch with my family, trying to make sure they are intact here. Because none of us are intact here anymore," he continued. "I'm afraid of their condition. They were locked up at home for a whole week. I don't know if this will go on to the stage involving Iran. There's a group of carriers moving into the region. It doesn't look good."

"Why do so many people in the world side with theseferts? I don't believe so many people in the world say we deserve this. I'm constantly in a state of shock and I can't get rid of it. And everyone asks me why I'm so silent. And I don't know what to say. "

"You attacked women, children, you raped women beside the bodies of friends. You kidnapped hundreds of people, killed indiscriminately. What do you think will happen? What do you think will happen now?", said the vocalist.

"Free the hostages," added Draiman. "Take our people home. Let them go home. It will be a start. Otherwise, the only person responsible for the deaths that will happen is the terrorists themselves."

You guys made us do this. And we will win." The vocalist then added, "Am Yisel Chai," which means "the Jewish nation is alive."

Meanwhile, last week, US President Joe Biden called the Hamas attack a "very evil act" and said more than 1,000 civilians were "sacred" in Israel. Among those killed in Israel and Gaza there were at least 27 Americans.

In addition to Draiman who can speak Hebrew, who has been trained as a singer and plans to become a preacher, Disturbed also includes guitarist / keyboardist Dan Donegan, bassist John Moyer, and drummer Mike Wengren.

Draiman's father and grandfather served in the Israeli Defense Force and the two grandparents of the vocalist's mother were Holocaust survivors. His grandfather is also a singer in Israel.
