Rush Reactions To Hamas Attacks On Israel: Unjustified Acts Of Dark Barbarism

JAKARTA - Canadian progressive rock legend Rush reacted to the deadly conflict sparked by the Palestinian group's surprise attack, Hamas, on Israel.

Responding to Palestinian militants in Gaza who fired a series of deadly rockets and sent gunmen to Israeli territory, the Zionist nation launched an attack on what they called the Hamas target in Gaza. The combined death toll on the two warring sides increased by more than 3,000 people.

On Friday, October 13, Rush released a statement via social media.

"We are fed up with news of brutal atrocities and the horrific cold-blooded killings committed by the Hamas terrorist group - an organization dedicated to the destruction of the Jewish state and the destruction of its people," Rush opened the statement.

"Our hearts are sad for the Israeli people and Jews around the world as they process this horrific event. This is an unjustified heinous act of barbarism. Our hearts are also on all innocent souls in Gaza who have lost their lives, were injured, or are in danger as a result of this inhumane terrorist regime".

The Israeli military said Hamas attacks and ongoing rocket fire from Gaza had killed more than 1,300 people and injured at least 3,200 people on Friday.

In Gaza, the Ministry of Health stated that Israeli airstrikes had killed at least 2,215 people, including 724 children, and left more than 8,714 injured.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday last week, US President Joe Biden called the Hamas attack a "very evil act".
