Music Journalists Network Announces List Of Nominations For The 2023 Kaset Awards

JAKARTA - After one year of curation/judgment, the collective music citizen of the Music Journalists Network (JJM) who is the initiator of the Kaset Awards awards announced nominations for the winner of the Kaset Awards for the period I (April 2022 March 2023).

This list, selected from all music releases and event organizing throughout the judging period. Five selected names from each nomination, screened from thousands of works that have been released, as well as dozens of music events that have been held for one year.

Judging criteria highlight a number of elements, including those assessed by material, quality music, production, promotional strategies, including activities both live and on social media. For the Artwork and Music Video categories, ideas, and creativity are also added in the form of visuals or images that support the release of the music.

As for the Best Music Festival and Concert, it is assessed from venue locations, access and ticketing of visitors, security, packaging or event concepts, access/closeness or media crew coverage spots, venue layouts, sound system quality and also artist/band line-up.

As for the worst release category, this year, it turns out that no release has been considered bad.

The curation/jury runs quite strictly, because every citizen who is a member of JJM has the opportunity to advance their champion with their respective reasons and opinions. From the name submitted, it was finally decided through a vote to choose the top 5 names for each nomination.

The final judging and curation process was then carried out in a hybrid (offline and online) manner because the music reporters who were members of JJM were spread across a number of areas in Indonesia. The final judging method includes offline simultaneous elections in the Kebayoran Baru area, Jakarta, through zoom meetings, email elections, and WhatsApp short message groups.
