Andmesh Kamaleng Expresses Iriana Jokowi's Request For Every Performance

JAKARTA - On several occasions, Andmesh Kamaleng appeared before President Joko Widodo and Iriana.

Appearing in front of them, especially Iriana, is a separate experience that is also unique for the singer who was born in Alor, East Nusa Tenggara.

In every appearance, Andmesh always places two mainstay songs, Only Rindu and Cinta It's amazing to cover. However, his habit does not apply when dealing with Iriana.

"If I perform, the last two songs are usually just Rindu and Cinta. It's amazing. But if you perform at the palace or in another place that is the First Lady, the two songs must be at the earliest," said Andmesh Kamaleng when met in Menteng, Central Jakarta on Thursday, August 10.

Andmesh admitted that Iriana's request was enough to confuse her. By presenting two mainstay songs at the beginning, he had to appear extra to maintain the audience's mood until the end.

"Usually, when we close, we use songs that people know us. So that's the challenge," said Andmesh.

"Why did the two songs have to be first? Why not another song, after that we just closed using the song you know. But mother desperately had to have the two songs first," he continued with a laugh.

Andmesh also shared another experience when appearing in front of Iriana in Labuan Bajo. The repertoire arrangement that he had prepared had to change due to a special request from Iriana.

Not only that, the initial plan in which Andmesh and his team will perform five songs has turned into nine songs.

"So I sang four more songs where we weren't ready at all. Luckily at that time it was the same as a full team, so we can trick it," said Andmesh.

Even so, the experience of appearing in front of Joko Widodo and Iriana is said to be always fun. Andmesh was actually happy with Iriana's treatment of him.

"Yes, that's a surprise," he concluded.
