JAKARTA - Every musician may have a hero in their life. For singer Andmesh Kamaleng, he is the hero.

Andmesh is currently selected as one of seven musician figures to represent the spirit of his area of origin and his face is a cover photo of Spotify's digital music service playlist, "A voice from Eastern Indonesia" for "A voice from Indonesia".

" Voice from Indonesia" can be found when users type the word in the Spotify application. Users will find seven playlists containing musicians' songs from the same area as selected musicians' cover images.

Apart from hearing the works of musicians, the public can also find messages written directly by local musicians on billboards spread across various regions in Indonesia. Spotify also plans to display musicians on billboards in Times Square, New York, United States.

Apart from Andmesh, singer Rossa was also selected, specifically for "sound from West Java". Speaking of messages, he emphasized the importance of someone who wants to have a career success, especially in the field of music, not to stop fighting and work.

"Starting from a small stage to finally becoming a stage outside the country. In my opinion, everything can't jump (on the way to success)," said Rossa.

Rossa also asked musicians not to stop working because in times with today's technology, they can reach music lovers.

Still about the message, the indie-rock Reality Club group representing the " Sound from DKI Jakarta" encouraged fellow musicians to continue working.

"If we can start, we want musicians who are growing (growing) to be more enthusiastic about working," said Reality Club vocalist Fathia Izzati.

Meanwhile, talking about music heroes, Andmesh called his father that figure.

"We each have heroes (heroes) and one of my musical heroes, right, papa. So, maybe it is very inspiring that Andmesh becomes a musician in Jakarta," said Andmesh in Jakarta, Thursday, quoted by Antara.

Andmesh, the singer of Cinta Extraordinary, also wants to be a hero like his father, however, for fellow musicians, especially from Eastern Indonesia, his hometown.

"Maybe Andmesh wants to be a father figure for friends from the east. Andmesh wants to be a bridge for friends there, to become a place for them to work," he said.
