JAKARTA - Fall Out Boy covered Sinead O'Connor's song Nothing Compares 2 U in honor of the late Irish singer in their latest show.

At their show in Atlanta, Georgia, July 26 yesterday, Fall Out Boy frontman Patrick Stump n with piano.

He played some of the songs, turning the ballad into a solo accompanied by a piano. Watch the video below.

Sinead died the previous day, at the age of 56.

The news of the death of the singer who decided to convert to Islam in 2018 and changed her name to S sameda Davitt was announced by the Sinead family.

"It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved Sinead. His family and friends were devastated and have asked for privacy at this very difficult time," reads a statement from the singer's family as reported by The Guardian.

The news of Sinead's death came a year after his 17-year-old son, Shane, committed suicide in January 2022. His last social media post was a tweet from a photo of his late son with the caption:

"Since then he has lived as a living corpse of a night creature. He is the love of my life," said my friend.

In a statement quoted from SkyNews, the Metropolitan Police said: "The police were summoned at 11.18 am on Wednesday 26 July for reports of an irresponsible woman at the residential address in the SE24 area.

Attended by officers. A 56-year-old woman was declared dead at the scene.
