Remembering Sinead O'Connor, P!nk Sing Nothing Compares 2 U Together Brandi Carlile

JAKARTA - P!nk and Brandi Carlile paid their respects to Sinead O'Connor in last night's show, July 26. They cover the song Nothing Compares 2 U.

The famous Irish singer and activist died at the age of 56 on Wednesday local time. "It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved Sinead," his family announced in an official statement quoted by The Guardian.

"His family and friends were devastated and have asked for privacy at this very difficult time".

Meanwhile, at his concert in Cinatti, Ohio, P!nk took Carlile on stage and delivered a special message before singing.

When I was a kid, my mom grew up in Atlantic City and I used to go to Ocean City Boardwalk for ten dollars and I was going to make a tape demo... I'm going to make a small cassette and imagine it's my demo for the record company," said P!nk.

And it will always be the Greatest Love of All song from Whitney Houston or the Nothing Compares 2 U of Sinead O'Connor. So in honor of Sinead, and in honor of my very, very talented friend, Brandi Carlile, I asked if he wanted to come here and sing this song with me.
