JAKARTA - solo singer Rendy Pandugo launched a new song entitled Senandung Lara on Friday, which tells the story of the process in the face of disappointment that leaves wounds.

"Deliberation, disappointment, overthinking, everything is mixed into one. I felt that what I was doing at that time was all wrong, until I was at the stage questioning myself's ability to do whatever I wanted to do," said Rendy, quoting Antara.

Time to become a supporting friend for Rendy who ended up going far and walking hand in hand with the wound. The move led him to the journey of a new musical career by building a record label P. O. Records, right in the ninth year of music.

Senandung Lara disebut menjadi rilisan pembukaan dari rangkaian yang akan berujung pada satu album penuh yang direncanakan rilis pada awal 2024. Sebelumnya, lagu tersebut pernah dirayan Rendy secara langsung di stage Java Jazz Festival 2023.

The song Senandung Lara will be the first Indonesian-language musical work that Rendy created as a soloist. Previously, Rendy's solo works had more content in English.

"It's like like a new playground for me to explore, Indonesian lyrics can bring me new satisfaction as a songwriter," said Rendy.

The singer also collaborated with Petra Sihombing in the process of creating the lyrics of Senandung Lara. In this project, Petra also acts as a producer.

This latest release also marks the start of the collaboration between Rendy and KithLabo Believe Artist Services Indonesia in packaging the appropriate form of promotion to expand the reach of listeners of his musical works.

Senandung Lara can already be enjoyed through various music streaming services. In addition to audio, the lyric video can also be watched through Rendy Pandugo's YouTube channel.
