JAKARTA - The official music video for Scorched, the title song from the new album by New Jersey Overkill thrash metal veteran, has been released.

The band's twenty-band studio album was released on Friday, April 14 through Nuclear Blast Records.

Scorched offers a new recording environment for Overkill as all members can record themselves.

Mixing affairs were handled by Colin Richardson and assistant engineer Chris Clancy. Johnny Rodd helped produce vocals, and finally, Maor Appelbaum took over the mixing session and added a final touch.

Overkill also returns to artist Travis Smith for the album's cover artwork.

In a recent interview with Canada's The Metal Voice, vocalist Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth spoke in more detail about Scorsched.

"(The pandemic) is not good for us. (But) we took advantage of the opportunity for luxury time. I think it might be the best way to say it. I think, directly responsible for the results, especially what I did," he said.

"I think other people, they tried anything and added things over that three-year period. But for me, I tore up the footage several times, just to make sure it was a metal record worth the luxury of time, not a kind of hit-and-run."
