JAKARTA - Trivium frontman Matt Heafy, who trained Brazilian Jiu-jitsu for a decade, reached an important milestone in martial arts with a black belt.
The 37-year-old musician was promoted to new rankings more than two years after earning a brown belt.
He was promoted by Gustavo "Gutty" Muggiati, who led Gracie Barra North Orlando in Heafy's hometown of Orlando, Florida.
