JAKARTA - Crown Royal, the best-selling Canadian whiskey brand in the United States, released two previews for ads featuring Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl.

Created by advertising bureau Anomaly and directed by Jake Scott, Crown Royal ads will air during the third quarter of the LVII Super Bowl match which will take place on Sunday, February 12.

Sophie Kelly, senior VP of whiskey in North America at global liquor producer Diageo, parent company Crown Royal, said in a statement: "Dave is a big fan of Crown Royal and the perfect partner to spread authentic thanks to the audience to our brand."

Crown Royal is one of Canada's oldest whiskey makers. In fact, it was created by Canadian distillers to honor the royal tour of King George and Queen Elizabeth in 1939.

This is the second-largest liquor brand in the US in retail dollars and fourth-largest by volume.

Crown Royal has been owned by Diageo since 2000, when Seagram was purchased and dismantled.
