Mikha Tambayong Collaborates With Deva Mahenra For The Song "Staying Over"

JAKARTA - Singer Mikha Tambayong released his newest song entitled Menepi Menetap today, Friday, June 10. He took his actor and lover, Deva Mahenra, to be his collaboration partner.

This collaboration plan was planned before the pandemic. On the other hand, both of them were busy as actors, which also hampered the process of making songs.

“I thought about a duet for a long time but we also forgot to do a duet. I once had a project with Ifa (Fachir) and kept saying "It's funny when I sing with Mikha" but just like that, it just went away. The plan was only to appear after the Irreplaceable song workshop," said Deva Mahenra in a virtual press conference on the same day.

Assisted by Ade Govinda, Deva Mahenra and Mikha Tambayong worked together to work on the song. Deva wrote the lyrics while Micah did the music and notation.

“Indeed, there was already a structure, so when it was first sent, I didn't know who made it, but now that I'm here, I know that Mikha made the notes, Deva wrote the lyrics. And good. I think they blend together,” said Ade Govinda.

Menepi Menetap is a pop song with romantic lyrics. Both Deva and Micah admit that this song describes what they have been through and their hopes for the future.

“I will not invite Deva if he is not interested in music. I decided to go ahead because the Deva also likes it,” said Mikha Tambayong.

The song Menepi Menetap also presents Deva's ability to compose poetic lyrics. Through this work, they want listeners to feel their desire to make music.

"People know that we are close, so we want to present a work that is honest and reaches the listener's heart," hoped Deva Mahenra.
