JAKARTA - Since its launch in Indonesia towards the end of 2014, the Harley-Davidson Street 500 has been selling well, at which time sales of this model were reported to have reached 70 percent of the total sales of Harley-Davidson in Indonesia in 2015.

Unfortunately, overseas Street 500 (or XG500) is less loved than the whole Harley-Davidson family model. Despite being designed as an affordable and beginner-friendly model, his reputation has been tarnished by the quality of construction and lack of the typical Harley character he has. Finally in 2021, the Street variant (500 and 750) was stopped production.

But for motorcycle modification lovers, this Harley entry-level motorcycle is very popular. An interesting example comes from Toronto, reported by Autoevolution, November 23, where Augment Motorworks proves the extraordinary potential of Street 500 by creating a heart-tirring bobber.

Starting from the 2015 production model, Nick Acosta, the owner of this modified workshop wants to prove that a simple XG500 can be amazing in the right hands, without requiring significant performance improvements or structural changes.

He started with some smart changes at the back of the motorcycle by undergoing a radical transformation with the addition of an in-house single seat, providing a touch of aesthetics that captivate with thick bearings and contrasted stitches.

By keeping the engine unchanged, the XG500 bobber also gets a touch of modification on the front, including retro-style headlights and special handlebars.

All of these modifications are not only done well in the workshop, but also wrapped in an artistic coating of gunmetal gray paint with fire graphics that make it look more attractive.

Augment Motorworks is at least able to prove that a simple transformation can turn a motorcycle that was previously considered less attractive into an art work that teases the hearts of modified fans.
