A Total Of 2,212 Harley Davidson Model CVO 2023 Withdrawn Due To Brake Problem

JAKARTA - Harley Davidson Motor Company will recall 2,212 units of CVO Road Glide and CVO Street 2023 due to problems with the rear brake.

Quoted from the Rideapart page, Wednesday, October 18, the withdrawal refers to a report by the United States Highway Safety Agency (NHTSA). Based on its search, the motor was affected at the start of the second production.

The problem that arises is that there is a brake oil leak, which can make motorcycles lose their braking capabilities.

"The contact between the brake line and the exhaust can often cause a hole (corruption) that can eliminate the loss of brake oil," the report reads.

Meanwhile, the NHTSA report also identified safety risks due to loss of a lot of brake oil, and could cause braking to be disrupted, thereby increasing the risk of accidents.

Until now there have been no reports of accidents or injuries due to the problem. For this reason, Harley Davidson takes a solution to replace the part with a new one, and will be contacted by dealers starting October 16, 2023.
