JAKARTA - In order to attract the attention of motorcycle racing lovers, especially MotoGP, Yamaha officially launched the YZF-R15M Monster Energy Edition 2023 for the Malaysian market which will be sold on a limited basis of 600 units.

Reporting from the Paultan page, Friday, October 13, the sport-style motor has been equipped with a single hydraulic disc brake on the front and rear with two ABS channels as standard. The braking system is covered by 17-inch rims with 100/80 front tires and 140/70 rear.

The manufacturer, based in Iwata, Shizuoka, Japan, equipped the motorbike with LED lighting units both on the front and rear, including the LED DRL lights.

Yamaha claims that R15M has a weight of 140 kg in order to optimize the thinness of driving. In order to support optimal motorization, the motor has a seat height of 815 mm. Suspensi uses an integrable inverse telescopic fork and a tunable preload shock mono mounted on the back.

The performance of the machine is supported by transmission of six accelerations equipped with a quickshifter and slipper cluster and channeled to the rear wheels.

It is limitedly available, customers need to spend 14,998 ringgit or around Rp49.7 million to get YZF-R15M which is covered in a typical livery of Yamaha racing motorbikes that run in MotoGP. However, this price is not yet included in other options offered by the brand.
