Starting June, Honda Offers Tesla Supercharger Adapters To Prologue And Acura ZDX Owners In The US

JAKARTA - Good news for Honda Prologue and Acura ZDX owners in the United States (US). This is because the owners of the two models can get more than 20,000 Tesla Superchargers across the United States (US) starting June 2025.

These two electric vehicle owners can obtain the first NACS-CCS DC fast charging adapter approved by Honda and connect it to the charging system.

"Adding access to the Tesla Supercharger network to the charging network that is already available to our EV customers means industry-leading fast charging access for Honda and Acura EV drivers," said Assistant Vice President Sustainability & Business Development American Honda Motor Co, on the manufacturer's official website, Saturday, March 22.

The adapter has been tested for safety and compatibility performance with Prologue and ZDX to be used at any NACS DC fast charging point and is the only fast charging adapter Honda approved.

Owners of these two vehicles can purchase a new NACS-CCS DC fast charging adapter approved by Honda from an official US dealer network starting in June. Unfortunately, the company has not provided confirmation regarding the price to be rolled out to the market.

Later, Honda Prologue and Acura ZDX owners will be notified via the HondaLink and Acura EV applications when the adapter is available for purchase.

To ensure a safe and reliable charging experience, Honda strongly recommends the use of approved adapters when charging at Tesla Supercharger stations.

Damage caused by the use of unapproved adapters may not be covered by a limited vehicle guarantee.

Manufacturers have long-term plans in the electric vehicle ecosystem in the US. Honda and Acura electric cars will have access to around 100,000 DC charging facilities in North America by 2030, including Tesla Supercharger, Ionna DC fast-charging, EVgo, and others networks.
