Wuling Optimistic Cloud EV Can Cost 5,000 Units This Year, Here's The Reason

JAKARTA - Wuling officially sets the price of its newest electric vehicle, Cloud EV at a price starting from Rp398 million, which includes VAT incentives.

Having an elegant design and a number of renewable features, the manufacturer is optimistic that the hatchback can contribute to EV sales in the country following the success of previous models such as Air ev and BinguoEV.

Sales & Marketing Director of Wuling Motors Indonesia, Dian Asmahani, said that his party believes Cloud EV can record sales of more than 5,000 units this year and provide new colors in the electric vehicle industry in the country.

"For the number, we have not been able to express the specifics, but it could be more than 5,000 consumers this year," said Dian when met by the media in Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, May 15.

Then, Product Planning Wuling Motors Danang Wiratmoko added that manufacturers are also targeting consumers who are married because this car concept prioritizes functionality that can contain people and many goods.

"You can conclude that our target market is families who prioritize sufficient space so that it is flexible," said Danang.

This medium hatchback has a number of leading features, one of which is the presence of the Italian seat Bubble Sofa Style. Not only that, Sofa Mode was also presented in the first row who fell to the back of 135 degrees.

In addition, Cloud EV also carries practical advanced technologies such as Smart Electric Tailgate. This function can open the rear trunk door in three different ways, such as key detection, through the head unit, and the Wuling Indonesia Command (WIND) feature or Indonesian voice commands.

This car has the performance of a synchronous magnet permanent electric motor that sets on the front which can generate 134 dk of power and 200 Nm of torque.

Meanwhile, Cloud EV also uses a 50.6 kWh LFP battery which has a range of 460 km in one charge. The battery can be charged from 20 to 100 percent about 7 hours with AC charging and 20 to 80 percent in 30 minutes using a DC fast charging.
