Kia has introduced the K5 facelift model for the South Korean market. The fifth generation of the sedan previously known as Optima has entered the pre-order period with a number of updates that have attracted attention.

Quoted from Paultan, Tuesday, October 31, the exterior changes include rejuvenation on the slimmer headlights, as well as design updates on the bumper, which now resembles the style found in EV6 GT. While the back also gets a fresh touch with a new back bumper and some additional elements that give a sporty impression, such as a diffuser.

Not only that, the interior is also undergoing a transformation with the introduction of a dashboard equipped with a 12.3-inch double screen, including a cluster of the latest generation digital instruments and infotainment screen known as Connected Car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC).

On the technology side, this sedan is also equipped with advanced features, including over-the-air updates, internal video streaming service, Kia Digital Key 2, Krell 12-speaker optional sound system, and wireless charging pads.

The driving experience was also enhanced by the adoption of a special panel involving an integrated capacitive touch button and temperature controller. This vehicle also replaces conventional transmission levers with modern turn-on voters.

Performance, Kia K5 facelift comes with a variety of engine options, including a Smartstream 4-cylinder engine with MPi 2.0 liters naturally-assisted capable of generating up to 158 dk of power and a maximum torque of 196 Nm. In addition, there is also a T-GDi 1.6 liter turbocharged gasoline engine with 178 dk of power and 265 Nm of torque, as well as a clean 2.0 liter 4-cylinder engine with 144 dk power and 191 Nm of torque. The choice of the hybrid engine is also offered, with the same engine plus an electric motor that gives up to 192 dk of power.

As for the price, Kia K5 is marketed in South Korea starting from 27.84 million won to 39.54 million won (equivalent to Rp327.8 million to Rp465.6 million).
