BMW Introduces The Latest Generation Of X1 In Malaysia, Built Locally

JAKARTA - After being introduced in 2022 globally, the third generation BMW X1 officially greeted the Malaysian market with the sDrive20i xLine variant this month. This car offers several changes ranging from a refreshable design to the latest performance.

Reporting from Paultan, Tuesday, October 24, this car has a bolder and more mature design than ever with a stronger bumper, a kidney grip with a touch of Pearl Chrome and a glossy black blades, and an aluminum satin exterior trim.

The Sport Activity Vehicle (SAV) is equipped with an adaptive LED headlights with a High Beam Assist and a 19-inch V-Spoke alloy rim that adds maximum luxury to this model.

Switching to the inside, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster screen with a 10.7-inch touchscreen infotainment system makes it easier for users to tune the cabin. Its infotainment system is based on BMW OS 8 which can be compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay wireless connectivity.

The interior is also decorated with ambient lighting, double zone temperature controllers, trim aluminum jarring effects, middle shiftrs, and My Modes. BMW X1 sDrive20i xLine gets radar features in the form of Lane Departure Warning, Lane Change Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Active-Park Distance Control, and other technologies.

The five-passenger-configured car is equipped with a 2.0 liter turbocharge 4-cylinder engine measuring 201 dk and 300 Nm torque, which is coupled to a Steptronic transmission system of seven DCT accelerations. With the tuning of the machine, X1 sDrive20i xLine has the ability to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/hour 7.6 seconds at the highest speed of 236 km/hour.

Another interesting thing, this car is produced locally in Kulim, Kedah, Malaysia, along with the electric version model, iX1 xDrive30 M Sport. BMW X1 sDrive20i xLine is priced at 259,800 ringgit or around Rp862.1 million.
