Maxus Expands The Electricity MPV Market By Presenting M1 Funds

JAKARTA - Maxus, an automotive manufacturer from China, recently introduced his latest model that will be part of their electricity MPV lineup, and is named the M1 Fund.

According to Carnewschina, Friday, September 22, this MPV will be part of Maxus' latest EV brand and is scheduled to go on sale in the first half of 2024.

In design, this minivan has a display that may look like a logistics vehicle at first sight. However, this car is actually a passenger vehicle that has a unique design. The design can be seen from the front which features a black culling with LED daytime running lights (DRL) and a "Maxus" emblem placed in the middle.

The interior of the cabin is designed with a minimalist approach, with an LCD panel instrument and a central screen. The manufacturer also uses high-quality materials on dashboards and cabin areas, as well as ambient lighting that gives a luxurious impression.

One of the interesting features in the interior is the floor of the car made of wood. For driver convenience, the front seat can be moved forward and backward, while the back seat can also be shifted.

When launched, the M1 Fund was only available with four seats. However, the manufacturer has confirmed that a longer version of the wheelbase and a seven-seat configuration will be available.

Although Maxus has not disclosed specific details about the M1 Fund, it is possible that this car will offer similar specifications to his brother, Dana V1. As an illustration, V1 has an electric motor with a power of 120 dk and a 42 kWh lithium-phosphate-iron battery that provides a range of up to 305 km.

Maxus is a Chinese automotive brand founded in 2011 and is currently owned by SAIC Motor, a parent company that also owns brands such as Morris Garage (MG) and Roewe in the global market.

In Indonesia, PT Indomobil Wahana Trada holds the Maxus brand and introduces MPV Mifa 9 as an introduction to Indonesian consumers in the 2023 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS). To compete with Toyota Alphard and Lexus LM, Maxus Mifa 9 is offered at a price of IDR 1.425 billion On The Road DKI Jakarta for the Premium variant.
