Sold Quite Expensively, Hyundai Ioniq 6 Remains Up To 200 Units

JAKARTA - PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia (HMID), a distributor of Hyundai vehicles in Indonesia, has successfully introduced their latest electric sedan, Ioniq 6, at the 2023 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) some time ago.

Unlike his brother, Ioniq 5, this electric sedan is a product that is fully assembled (CBU) in South Korea, so the price is quite high, reaching Rp1,197 billion On The Road DKI Jakarta.

Even though the price is expensive, consumer interest in Indonesia in Ioniq 6 is quite high. Hyundai claims that there have been orders of 200 units.

Astrid Ariani Wijana, Head of the Marketing Department of PT HMID, revealed their surprise at the high number of orders, as well as that Ioniq 6 fills segments that other manufacturers have not met in the electric sedan category.

"Ioniq 6, as a CBU vehicle, fills a different segment in the world of electric cars. In terms of design, Ioniq 6 is more like a sports sedan that we call an electrify streamliner," Astrid said, quoted from ANTARA, Tuesday, August 29.

Despite the large number of orders, HMID ensures that the waiting period for getting Ioniq 6 will not take too long, so customers can immediately enjoy this vehicle on the highway.

"Basically, with this 200-unit order, although it hasn't been a year, the waiting period may be just a month or two months at a maximum," Astrid added.

Hyundai Ioniq 6 has dimensions with a length of 4,855 mm, a width of 1,880 mm, a height of 1,495 mm, and a wheel distance of 2,950 mm, providing comfort for drivers and passengers.

HMID presents a variant for Ioniq 6, namely All-Wheel Drive (AWD), which is considered a competitor to Tesla Model 3 and Mercedes-Benz EQE Sedan.

This AWD variant is equipped with two electric motors driving all wheels that produce a combined power of up to 320 dk and a torque of 605 Nm. This allows Ioniq 6 to reach 0-100 km/hour in 5.1 seconds.

Electric power comes from a lithium-ion polymer battery with a capacity of 77.4 kWh, which allows a maximum range of up to 519 km.

On the basis of the E-GMP platform, this architecture can receive voltages of up to 800V, which allows Ioniq 6 to charge from 10% to 80% in 18 minutes using a DC 350 kW fast charging system.

Hyundai Ioniq 6 is available in various color choices, including Abyss Black Pearl, Biophilic Blue Pearl, Curated Silver Metallic, Digital Green Pearl, Gravity Gold Matte, Nocture Gray Matte, Serenity White Pearl, and Ultimate Red Metallic.
